[ Akira's just walking around when he spots Dokja in the reception hall, which works out since he did want to talk with him at some point. Nagako zips over to where Jin is and gives her a sniff.
[ Jin seems to be in the middle of pacing, fur a little puffed out as the fox circles over... and over. However, catching sight of Nagako seems to relax her and she wags her tail to sniff in return with greeting.
Dokja seems to just be standing around as well, though he gives Akira a smile that does not reach his eyes. ] You don't need to apologize. It wasn't as though you were the one that cursed me.
[ ..A sigh. It was very poor timing. it could have.. gone a lot worse though. If it had happened during the investigation? Terrible. ] Sorry we couldn't bring back more evidence with blood. The path that ended up leading to... Sheba, had left a lot of blood near the fall area. Enough to consider a body had been there previously. Maybe if you had gone..
[ He sighs and crosses his arms across his chest. ]
The second week I checked out the butcher shop it helped us get Suigetsu somehow but—I don't like splitting my reads. I feel like that's where I fucked up that week.
But maybe I should have read Sheba's body, except I read Yelena's since the knife didn't really give me much.
We at least got one every time, so I wouldn't say you've failed in those attempts.
[ He nods slowly at the mention of Yelena's knife. ]
..The area where she was looked complicated. Based on what Flat found he theorized there was a usage of powers. Someone having started a fire, and another's starting the rainstorm to put it out.
[ He frowns more as he continues, this next part seeming to bother him. ] Maybe if we had found Sheba sooner, we would have had more to work with.
Anything with powers is a clusterfuck with the coins in play, and cause we don't know who naturally has the ability to do what. It worked with Rin cause I saw his fire when we were at the Kiln.
[ He nods after a beat, and Nagako gives Jin a gentle snout touch. ]
I wanted to use both my reads on her scene, but even with Yelena it was rushing it. It was bothering me how they kept focusing on you, so I wanted to clear that up.
The additional powers does make it very messy. But, since some people don't naturally have 'abilities' back home that they can regain, it's probably a means to put people on a more even footing.
[ It makes sense to him. It does. But it complicates a lot of things. Jin's ears perk high and she gives Nagako a soft lick on the face. ]
I can't really blame them for focusing on me. I had the smell of perfume on me, and where I had curfewed had no connections. The only explanation I could give in the end was the fact that Power and I found the shattered remains of the perfume bottle. But, by then, people grew suspicious and it clings to them based on one piece of evidence.
[ "The last person Kim Dokja would target is a child who reminds him of his own adoptive daughter." Yoo Joonghyuk had been right with that comment. ] ..If I was forced to accept a deal with an Angel, I would target an adult. Either someone I see as a threat to the people alive or someone that may be useful to help within the graveyard.
Mm... we don't know all the details just yet, but that's at least the plan. [ Better to be prepared than not. And if Akira can understand that then that's enough for him. It means something to hear he believes them as well.
Jin's tail wags faster at the grooming, leaning into it with a content fox-purr. ] I've been giving it some thought about the letters that went over earlier. We'll probably get more time to discuss them at the start of the next week.
Or that they can't be fulfilled right now. I think they're full of shit, but I could see them spinning that and no one's gonna kill again if they haven't been paid for the first time.
week 4; after trial
Akira sets himself up on a wall near the door. ]
Sorry about the frog thing.

If that's true, it's probably why we aren't seeing repeat killers. [ No incentive to kill again. ]
